Here is a project I have been using with my year 8 which enhance their skills in CAD and hand drawings.
This project allows you to adjust it to suit your department syllabus. I try to introduce CAD as much as possible, for those that wishes to choose Graphics as an option in GCSE.
If there is time, I get pupils to build their modern city in Sketch-Up. An easy step by step start up booklet on how to use sketch up is included within the pack.
The booklet has been designed to allow the gifted pupils to work independently, as well support the pupils that would need that extra support/ push.
You will also find self-reflective pages at the end of the booklet where pupils, as an end of lesson plenary, self-reflect on the work they have completed during each lessons. Something they would turn back too, at the start of each lesson for a starter.
The booklet has been laid out to match to the GCSE coursework framework. This is so the pupils that wish to do graphics in KS4 will be confident in producing a strong and well-presented coursework.
Hope you enjoy it.
Scheme of work included.
